Der Peaks of the Balkans durch Albanien, Kosovo und Montenegro:
3 Länder, 10 Tage, über 200 km und mehr als 10.000 Höhenmeter. Die Peaks of the Balkans ist eine mehrtägige Wanderung mit vielen steilen Auf- und Abstiegen, landschaftlich sehr abwechslungsreich und für uns war sie jeden Meter wert. Wir übernachteten in den unterschiedlichsten Unterkünften, bei den unterschiedlichsten Einheimischen, aßen und schliefen mit den unterschiedlichsten Menschen aus den unterschiedlichsten Ländern. Wir hörten traurige, interessante, lustige und schöne Geschichten und konnten viele Vorurteile abbauen. Der Treck wurde ins Leben gerufen, um die Landflucht in Albanien, Kosovo und Montenegro zu verhindern und den Frieden in dieser ehemals unruhigen Region zu sichern. Für uns war es definitiv eine Erfahrung, die mehr war als einfach nur eine Wanderung.

Peaks of the Balkans, Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro:
3 countries, 10 days, over 200 km and more than 10,000 metres in altitude. The Peaks of the Balkans is a multi-day hike with many steep ascents and descents.
The tour is extremely varied in terms of landscape and, for me, worth every metre. We stayed in a wide variety of accommodation, with a wide variety of locals, ate and slept with a wide variety of people from a wide variety of countries. We heard sad, interesting, funny and beautiful stories and were able to break down many prejudices. The trek was set up to prevent rural exodus in Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro and to secure peace in this formerly troubled region. For us, it was definitely an experience that was more than just a hike.
